I’d welcome any rain we get. I rushed to till the ground so I could get my sweet corn in early. The seed corn is sitting underground, waiting for water. So much for my early start. There is a much needed lesson there. “The best laid plans… etc.” No doubt the corn is GMO, since I didn’t buy organic corn. Maybe the lack of rain will save me from being poisoned by Bt toxin in the sweet corn, or maybe that’s the way I rationalize the whole thing. Or maybe nature’s capriciousness is lurking about looking for ways to show me how absurd I am.
