Upstate Dispatch will be posting an image a day from around the Catskills for the next year, so we can really see what the weather was like, beginning this morning at 7am. Today’s the day we all reached for the woollens with temperatures in the low fifties (14C for our European readers). This morning we had our first scattering of red leaves of the season, fall started a few days ago, but the leaves were light brown. Today they are red. The Halcotsville Plein Air group is meeting today, but it’s too early to tell if the watercolors are packed away. (Watercolours for our European readers wink, wink.)
